KARACHI: Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association (PPMSA) Sindh President Ismail Jiskani has demanded the federal government to constitute an All Pakistan Allied Health Professional Council to register paramedics and end all kinds of quackery from the field of paramedical staff.
Talking to PPI, Jiskani said formation of Allied Health Professional Council on the pattern of Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) would help register paramedics and regulate paramedical institutes across the country. He said establishment of council would also help eliminate quackery from the field of paramedics.
He informed that PPMSA had written a letter to the Federal Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination for formation of the council to register paramedics, regulate institutions and end quackery throughout the country. He said federal ministry of health had sought views, recommendations and suggestions from all four provinces, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan governments for establishment of the council.
