Compensation cheques were distributed among deserving families on special directives of South Waziristan Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal Khattak. A ceremony in this connection was held at tehsil Shawal of South Waziristan on Friday during which cheques were distributed among 81 deserving persons of village Push Ziarat, Razin, Qalandar and Sher Ali. Addressing the ceremony, Assistant Commissioner Ladha, Farhan Khan said that compensation cheques of about 400 relief funds of tehsil Shawal have been received which will be distributed in phases. He said that all the deserving families would be paid the compensation after survey.
