The government has decided to summon a joint session of the Parliament and the budget session just after Eidul Fitr.
It has finally been decided to call the joint session of the parliament on June 1 while sessions of National Assembly (NA) and Senate will be held in the first week of June.
Parliamentary sources said that the parliamentary affairs adviser has started a consultation on it, however, the final announcement will be made within few days after consultation with the speaker, Chairman Senate.
Sources also said that the preparations for the finance bill have entered into final phase while the consultation is also being made with the finance ministry and other ministries.
Sources said that in the wake of coronavirus situation precautionary measures will be adopted for the budget session and the joint session of the parliament while it is likely that delegations will not be invited as earlier traditions.
Sources also said that the guest galleries will be kept close and a suggestion to ban bringing additional staff will also be implemented besides that for media coverage, press gallery, and press lounge, PRA will be consulted.
Sources added that the use of technology for the budget documents is under consideration that the budget documents be provided in the form of a book or provided with the use of technology while both the suggestions are under consideration.
