At least three policemen were martyred and five others injured in a remote-controlled blast targeting a police mobile in Quetta’s Buleli area on Friday. According to the sources, the bomb was planted in a motorcycle, which was detonated as soon as the police mobile passed by. The rescue officials shifted the injured to Civil Hospital, Quetta, for medical treatment. Meanwhile, police and Frontier Corps personnel reached the site immediately and cordoned off the area. This was not the first blast to have taken place in Quetta this week. On Monday, a bomb blast had injured nine people when a police van was targeted in the city. According to the police, the blast took place due to explosive material planted in a motorcycle on Spinny Road.
