KARACHI: The Sindh government has decided on Monday to install a 300 million gallon desalination plant to deal with the water crisis in Karachi.
During a meeting, chaired by Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah, Hub Power Company (Hubco) proposed to install a 300 million gallon desalination plant to resolve extreme water issues in Karachi.
Shah chaired a meeting of the Sindh cabinet and discussed the installation of a desalination plant. Putting a ban on usage of the plastic bag was also discussed in a meeting.

According to authorities, the desalination plant will be installed near Hub.
The Sindh CM has reportedly sought help from Hubco to generate electricity from garbage in Karachi.
Earlier on August 21, the new Sindh cabinet had decided to establish a desalination plant to provide clean drinking water to the people of Karachi.
