KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa of ‘providing safe havens to terrorists and criminals’.
Talking to the media, Bilawal said that the PTI-led KP government is turning a blind eye to the main accused in murderer of Kohat medical student, Aasma Rani, and various other criminals across the province.
He also accused elements within the provincial government of helping main accused, Mujahidullah Afridi, flee to Saudi Arabia, based on ‘information received’ by the PPP co-chairman.
“Mujahidullah is a relative of PTI district president Aftab Alam. It is impossible that he fled the country without assistance from the government,” Bilawal said.
Continuing his tirade against the KP government, the PPP leader claimed that culprits in 4-year-old Asma, Aasma and Mashal Khan murder case still roam free, while adding that this goes on to show that the provincial government provides shelter to criminals and terrorists.
Bilawal also lambasted PTI Chairman Imran Khan for his silence on growing criminal activities in the province.“Khan’s silence on the increasing crimes in KP is condemnable,” he said.
