The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has set up separate cabins for breastfeeding newborns at domestic airports, a good move for travelling mothers.
The CAA says the cabins have been installed at Islamabad and Lahore airports.
Civil aviation officials say two cabins have been set up in the lounge for domestic and international traffic.
Decisions about infant feeding are embedded and are continuously made within a woman’s social and cultural context. Despite the benefits of breastfeeding to both women and infants, and government policies and laws to protect and promote breastfeeding, breastfeeding in public remains a controversial issue.
