COPENHAGEN: UNICEF on Friday dispatched 14MT of personal protective equipment for Pakistan from Copenhagen to fight against coronavirus.
UNICEF provides a detailed update and list of coronavirus disease personal protective equipment technical specifications for use in high- and low-risk settings.
The equipment extends biological protection barriers to prevent percutaneous and mucocutaneous exposure.
It includes barriers for full body protection, as well as the head, nose, mouth, eyes, hands and feet. In selecting the right PPE specifications for frontline workers, the degree of contact with infectious material, and the potential for infected fluid penetration should be considered.
Equipment included face shield, thermometers, gloves, gowns and masks from copenhagen. This will help respond to the global COVID-19 pandemic, in Pakistan and around the world.
