Two minor girls lost their lives after being allegedly administered with wrong injections by medics here on Saturday. Heirs held protest demonstration against the hospital staff. According to details, one-year-old Aiman and three-year-old Amina, hailing from Jinnah Road area of Gujranwala, were shifted to Civil Hospital due to fever, flu and sore throat. The girls were allegedly administered with wrong injections by the medics resultantly both girls expired within an hour. Heirs of the deceased girls held protest demonstration against the hospital staff and demanded of the Chief Minister and other higher health authorities for taking notice and directing strict action against the responsible. Medical Superintendent (MS) of the Civil Hospital Dr. Sohail Anjum rejected the allegations saying both the girls were suffering from pneumonia and were injected with lifesaving injections.
