The Sindh government has finally issued terms of reference (ToR) for a judicial inquiry into the alleged murder of Nimrita Kumari, a final year BDS student at Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC), Larkana, who was found dead in mysterious conditions on September 16 in her hostel room. In this connection, section officer (judicial) Home Department, Government of Sindh, Karachi, sent a letter to the District & Sessions Judge (DSJ), Larkana, mentioning TORs of the judicial inquiry. TORs seek to ascertain and probe course of death whether suicide otherwise; to fix responsibility identifying the individuals/group of individual allegedly involved in the incident and to recommend further course of legal action in the matter. Copies of this letter have also been sent to the Registrar, Sindh High Court, Karachi, Principal Secretary to Governor & Secretary to Chief Minister Sindh and others. Earlier, the provincial government appointed DSJ to conduct judicial enquiry without mentioning ToRs of the inquiry.
