Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar has summoned the session of the Punjab Assembly on Monday, 16 September 2019 at 3pm. The gazette notification has been issued by the Assembly Secretariat in this regard. It will be 14th session of the ongoing 17th Assembly. The session of the assembly was due since long as it couldn’t be held due to the Muharram because MPAs, ministers and administration are usually busy in their constituencies and fields. Speaker Ch Pervaiz Elahi was also not present in the country for some days in the recent past because of the poor health condition of his cousin and party president Ch Shujaat Hussain who was getting a treatment abroad. Elahi is likely to chair the upcoming session as government is planning to do some legislation and introduce bills in the 17th session of the Punjab Assembly.
