Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday advised the youth to have confidence in themselves, adhere to merit, follow the rule of law and not look for shortcuts in life for success.
Interacting with the youth undergoing an annual internship programme at Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), he expressed “full confidence in Pakistani youth and expected them to play their due role to take Pakistan to its rightful destination of progress and prosperity.”
He said Pakistan was blessed with dynamic and talented youth and that the future of Pakistan belongs to them. “Pakistan had been subjected to numerous challenges especially during the last two decades,” an ISPR statement quoted the COAS as saying.
“Pakistani nation and its armed forces have forcefully withstood the challenges and in that youth has played a lead role.”
Meanwhile, Turki Bin Abdullah Al Shabanah, Minister of Media Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and Major General Talal Abdullah Alotaibi, Military Advisor to HRH Minister of Defence KSA, called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the GHQ. Nawaf Saeed al Maliky KSA’s ambassador to Pakistan was also present during the meeting. Regional security situation and matters of mutual interest discussed. COAS said that both countries have history of defence cooperation which Pakistan greatly values. Pakistan Army stands with Saudi Armed Forces in all fields.
COAS also expressed condolences on the death of Prince Bandar Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
