Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday expressed hope that his government would overcome economic and financial challenges in the next few months. The prime minister said this during a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Babar Awan in Islamabad. “Safeguarding public interests is top priority of the government,” Imran said. “It is the responsibility of the state to take care of underprivileged class of society.”
He said the direction for national development had been identified and the coming times would bring prosperity with them. “[We are] making every possible effort to steer the country out of crises. It is hoped that economic and financial challenges would be overcome in the next few days,” he said. He said the government believed in the rule of the constitution and law, adding, “Neither will we become a hurdle in the way of accountability, nor will we let anyone become one.”
