Capital Development Authority, (CDA) has settled on a plan of daily strict operations and monitoring to keep the further expansion of Katchi Abadis in the city in check.
During the weekend, Special Teams continued their operations as several ongoing illegal constructions were demolished in the Katchi Abadis.
Taking advantage of the weekly holidays, illegal occupants had started illegal construction work inside the Katchi Abadis.
In light of such illegal activities, CDA has decided to monitor and tackle the expansion of unlawful construction in the Katchi Abadis.
On Saturday, monitoring teams of Enforcement Directorate of the Authority visited various Katchi Abadis of Islamabad.
While visiting Sector G-7 “Shopper Colony,” the teams found new illegal construction and immediate action was taken.
The monitoring team also observed an illegal extension of the wall in the Katchi Abbadi in the vicinity of France colony, Sector F / 7-4. The extension of the wall was immediately demolished.
Similarly, the monitoring team visited the Katchi Abadi Sarai-e-Aam, Sector G-7/2; Bank Colony, Sector G-7/1; Musharraf Colony, Katchi Abadi Sector G-8/1; Katchi Abadi Sector G-6/2; 100 Quarter Sector. However, the monitoring teams did not find any new construction in Sector F-6.
This surveillance is said to continue in the coming days in all Katchi Abadis of Islamabad.
