A ceremony was organized by the Kawish Welfare Society at Tarbela Dam affectees colony Ghazi Hamlet to donate electric fans to the local dispensary.
Sharing his views with Kawish volunteers, intellectuals, civil society members and local youth, Kawish Chairman Riasat Ali urged the participants to strive for resolution of minor issues at the government institutions on self-help basis. He promised to provide firstaid accessories and to construct washroom at the Hamlet dispensary in the coming days. On the occasion, he also thanked Kawish volunteers for their devotion and commitment towards welfare services in the area.
Earlier, in his welcome address Kawish Deputy General Secretary Sultan Sarwar apprised the participants that it had been almost 25 years that Hamlet dispensary was deprived of even basic facilities. He expressed the resolve that through support and contribution of Kawish donors, minor issues of the locality will be overcome in due course of time.
SHO Ghazi Javed Khan appreciated the services being rendered by Kawish and offered his all-out support to the noble cause. He said the role of welfare organizations in raising awareness about social abuses in the society is of vital importance.
Gul Niaz, M Ghazanfar, Shaheen Khan and Atta Din also addressed the event.
