Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information & Archives, Law, and Anti-Corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Saturday while responding to the report of Auditor General of Pakistan said that the indications made in the report didn’t validate the misuse of the public office or of the authority.
The Adviser said that the content of the report needed further clarification. He said that the affairs of various accounts were looked after by various heads, and the spending of these heads could not be termed as corruption. Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that to associate the word “corruption” with Pakistan People’s Party was prejudiced.
He said that public was well aware of the performance of Sindh government. Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that the matters related to Zakat & Ushr were being handled with utmost transparency. The Public Accounts Committee always kept an eye on all the economy related issues, he added.
