Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Chief, Maulana Fazalur Rahman, on Tuesday, appealed to all security forces to demonstrate protests against Indian air strikes inside Pakistan territory in the early hours of Tuesday, in every inch of the country In an address in a conferenced held at Jamia Islamia Ishatul Quran Wal Hadees in Larkana, he reiterated support for the Pakistan’s forced and said that the entire nation was standing behind them yet there remained no room for any sort of cowardliness or negligence.
The chief also called for an in-camera joint session of the parliament, where security forces should brief the lawmakers on all issues. Maulana appealed the nation to remain united in this crucial moment when the enemy had intruded into our country and prayed for the army to gain success in protecting the country.
He further noted that his own faction of JUI had held a million march in conjunction with Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) three days earlier in Badin, was planning to schedule a similar march, eighth in the series, in Nasirabab town in Balochistan after two days. He said that the million marches were being carried out to protect the Islamic ideology against the rulers busy trying to cut the ideological jugular vein of the country. “We will cut their hands,” he warned.
Maulana appealed the nation to remain united in this crucial moment
JUI-F Sindh General Secretary, Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro, meanwhile claimed that JUI-F had become the real representative Jamat of the people in Sindh. JUI-F emerged as a successful party with the locals participating to resolve their problems. He strongly condemned the Indian air attack inside Pakistan and said that we would defend every inch of the country.
Maulana Muhammad Ramzan Phulpoto, Maulana Abdullah Pahore, Maulana Muhammad Aslam Ghauri, Qari Muhammad Usman, Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan, Abdullah Mahar and others also spoke on the occassion. Maulana Fazalur also performed the dastarbandi (turban-tying ceremony) of six muftis (legal expert), 45 Ulema (scholar) and 55 Hafiz.
Maulana Soomro presented a resolution demanding exemplary punishment for the killers of Shaheed Khalid Mahmood Soomro, which was unanimously passed in the conference as justice had not yet been done in this case despite the passage of four years. They further maintained that the Sindh Government would be responsible for the consequences if the accused get released on bail.
