Another Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) patient has been reported at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, taking the reported cases toll to eight in this health facility since January 1, 2019. A patient, Ashraf Khan, son of Hayatullah, resident of Quetta Baluchistan, was brought to emergency department with history of fever and nasal blood since two days. The patient was moved to Isolation Room in Ward 23. He was diagnosed Congo through lab reports. The patient was exposed or having contact history with animals. Executive Director, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Dr Seemin Jamali, while talking to PPI, said a total of eight Congo infected patients have been reported in the hospital so far out of which five were cured and discharged, two died and one was admitted in the health facility.
