ISLAMABAD: Famous singer Atif Aslam and ICC Elite Panel umpire Aleem Dar have donated million of rupees to Diamer and Bhasha dam fund.
Pakistanis from all over the world have stared contributing to the dam fund on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s call for donation to construct dams.
On Sunday morning Atif Aslam met Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar at his residence and presented him a cheque of Rs 2.5 million.
Earlier today the ICC Elite Panel umpire Aleem Dar has decided to donate $ 10,000 to the dam fund and appreciated the efforts of the concerned authorities. ““I appreciate the efforts of the chief justice and prime minister to construct dams in Pakistan.”
“This noble initiative will benefit our present and future generation” Dar said.

The ICC umpire urged the whole nation in Pakistan or abroad to come forward and put in their share for the noble cause.
Earlier Salam Iqbal and Malik Riaz, Acting President Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani and Oil and Gas Pakistan donated millions to the Diamer and Bhasha Dam.
“CJP’s initiative will be beneficial for economic growth, resolving water scarcity issue, enhancing sustainability of the country,” Sajrani said adding that dams’ construction will prevent the country from a ‘bleak future’.
