ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday issued schedule for the overseas Pakistanis who are set to cast their votes in the upcoming by-polls across the country.
ECP spokesman Nadeem Qasim said the overseas voters can register themselves from Sep 1 to Sep 15.
“After the completion of the registration process, polling lists would be handed over to the returning officers,” said the spokesman.
“Voters will be able to cast their votes through their passports,” he told.
National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will facilitate the voters through its online systems, he said.
Following the Supreme Court’s verdict that enable the overseas Pakistanis to cast their votes, the ECP had announced that Pakistani abroad can exercise their right to vote in the by-elections going to be held on October 14.
