KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail took oath as the 33rd governor of Sindh on Monday.
A ceremony in this regard was held at Governor House Karachi in which the chief justice of Sindh High Court administered the oath.
Members of the provincial and federal assembly, media persons and other notables attended the ceremony.
The PTI had nominated Ismail as governor Sindh on August 11.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Senator Saeed Ghani had objected the nomination saying Ismail is not even graduate and hold only the intermediate degree.
Imran Ismail, one of the founder member of the PTI,was elected MPA from PS-111. However, his seat became vacant after he took charge as Sindh governor.
