LAHORE: As many as 56 people were apprehended and 46 cases were registered during a crackdown operation on kite flying in Lahore on Sunday.
Police have conducted frequent raids and operations but kite flyers defying the law resurface every day.
The police conducted operations in different parts of the provincial metropolis including Ghaziabad and Fateh Garh recovering large amounts of kites and dangerous string.
DIG Operation Dr Haider Ashraf has stated that nobody would be allowed to go against the law and strict action would be taken against the violators.
He also asked parents not to allow their children to indulge in such activities.
Police officials added that the ban against kite flying and selling would be maintained by any means.
