Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Advisor to Law and Environment & Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the mafia sitting around the Prime Minister has benefited a lot.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Sindh Assembly Auditorium. He said that the Prime Minister has fulfilled his promise to shout. The rule of angels has increased by 29%. Earlier it was Rs 55 and now the price of sugar has gone up by 78%. Poultry prices have risen by 70%. Cooking costs have risen by 35%. Pulses have increased by Rs 237 per kg. He said that circular dabt have been increased by Rs 1.2 trillion. Imran Khan had said that he would commit suicide but would not go to the IMF. It has increased from 24 trillion to 34 trillion.
He said that in the last two years of the present government, the benefits to the mafia and the hardships of the people have increased. In the two years since August 2018, inflation has skyrocketed. 778 flour today increased by Rs 1010 29%. In August 2018, sugar is Rs 55 and today it is Rs 102, an increase of 78%. Poultry has become 90 percent more expensive at Rs 114 and Rs 194 today. A five-kg packet of Rs 941 is more expensive at Rs 1269 and dal at Rs 112 to Rs 247 per kg. He said that these incompetent rulers want the people to just breathe and their wrong policies have drained the devastated the people.
He said that these rulers used to say that we will come and end the circular debt then 1.04 trillion today 2.2 trillion 400 billion now 1.2 trillion circular debt has been done. Earlier, there was talk of not taking a loan and there was talk of committing suicide. Then the debt has reached 24.2 trillion and the debt has reached 34.4 trillion. He further said that no mega project has been started and completed in two years. It was announced to spend Rs 162 billion on Karachi but not a single rupee was spent on Karachi. He said that there was a promise to give 5 million houses and not to take protocol. The university has not yet been formed in the Prime Minister’s House and a lecture was given to the allies to vote on the budget. The walls of the Governor’s House are still standing. The federal cabinet was supposed to be short, but the picture of the cabinet has to be taken from such a distance that the Prime Minister looks small.
He said that there was a promise to respond in the assembly every week but 341 members of the assembly and 104 senators are waiting for the answers of the prime minister. He further said that with the advent of sugar, flour, medicine and petroleum scandals, it was clear how much corruption was taking place in the country. He said that he would present a case with documentary evidence on how the infrastructure and public places of Karachi were destroyed. In principle, if the NDMA is sent by the Prime Minister, then the money should also be given to the federal government. The NDMA itself is not working on the issue of sewer cleaning, it has to work with the FWO and someone else.
He said that there should be no politics on the issue of opening schools. A review meeting will be held on September 7 and then a decision will be taken.
