Information Minister Syed Shibli Faraz has warned that a further lockdown can be imposed if precautions are not maintained.
Syed Shibli Faraz took to Twitter and wrote that the economy and protection of people’s health have to be managed together.

Terming the phased softening of lockdown a reflection of care for the disadvantaged population, the minister said that it will help support small businesses.
“We will have to impose lockdown again if precautionary measures are not observed,” Shibli Faraz maintained. He said coronavirus pandemic is a common issue, which can be faced with unity.
Shibli Faraz further said that standard operating procedure (SOP)s must be strictly enforced by business sectors while calling the pandemic a combined national problem that needs to be fought together.
The minister earlier this week assured that the government is taking steps for the betterment of the journalist community.
A day earlier, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan announced to lift the lockdown from Saturday.
Briefing the nation about decisions made during today’s meeting of National Coordination Committee (NCC), the prime minister said that the NCC has decided to lift the lockdown in phases starting from Saturday.
Among the major decisions made by the committee included reopening of small markets in localities and rural areas, allowing businesses to open after Sehri till 17:00 hours, opening of selective OPDs (outdoor patient departments) at hospitals and closure of educational institutions till July 15, 2020.
Besides the prime minister, cabinet members briefed the media about the decisions made in the meeting concerning their respective sectors.
