Pakistan army troops have distributed more than 350,000 Army assistance packages to daily wagers, handicapped, labourers, widows and needy people across the country.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pak army troops are assisting civil administration in containment efforts of the COVID-19 across the country.
ISPR in a statement said Pakistan Army troops distributed Army assistance packages which were purchased through contributions of Army’s announced salary donation for the COVID-19 affected people in various areas of Pakistan.
Earlier, a truck worth of ration was also distributed to porters and daily wage earners of Karachi’s cantt station by a private bank.

AJ& K: The assistance packages (containing basic food items) were distributed among needy people in Muzaffarabad, Kel, Leepa Valley, Neelum Valley, Jhelum Valley, Bagh, Rawalakot, Bhimber, Kotli and Mirpur.
GB: Gilgit, Skardu, Jaglot, Astore, Hunza – Nagar, Diamir, Gakhuch and Chilas. Balochistan: Quetta, Khuzdar, Zhob, Sibbi, Ormara, Awaran, Taftan, Dalbandeen, Washuk and Panjgoor.
Sindh: Karachi, Pannu Aqil, Hyderabad, Badin, Chhor and Noshehro Feroz. Punjab: Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Murree, Multan, DG Khan, Okara, Khaniwal, Layyah, Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Muzaffargarh, Lahore and other 24 areas of the province.
KPK: Risalpur, Peshawar, Kohat, D.I. Khan, Bannu, Tarbela, Nowshera, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Tank, Miranshah, Khyber, Chirat, Mardan, Warsak, Thal, Mirali and Razmak.
On these occasions, residents of the areas appreciated efforts of the Pakistan Army and showed their gratitude for the grand gesture.
On Tuesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa had announced that employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) who are suffering from novel coronavirus will be treated at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
