As many as 1,166 of the 1,383 passengers have been traced by the Larkana district administration, and according to reports, 865 of them had come from Saudi Arabia. It was revealed in a COVID-19 report prepared by Deputy Commissioner, Larkana, on 4th April for submission to higher authorities, copy of which was sent to this scribe on Saturday evening. 126 of them belong to other districts and 124 of them belong to Kambar-Shahdadkot district, one each to Jaffarabad and Hyderabad districts. The district administration received a list of 1383 passengers out of them 301 were already traced thereafter 865 were also traced out of them 126 belong to other districts and 91 are yet to be tracked down, the report added.
At the Quarantine Centre established at Areeja Campus of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University, 83 internees were kept out of which nine have been detected COVID-19 positive and kept at the Isolation Ward and 74 have been discharged. Giving breakup, the report added, 40 persons of Block 2 & 3 at Areeja Facility are being discharged today and will be dropped at their doorstep in their districts (Sanghar, Jamshoro, Shikarpur and Gujranwala), by government provided vehicles under police supervision. They all are Corona negative and completed their 14 days incubation period.
