The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will mark the 66th birthday of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on June 21. A detailed programme chalked out in this regard was announced in Larkana on Tuesday by PPP Sindh president Nisar Ahmed Khuhro. “Cakes will be cut in every taluka headquarter. All activists and leaders will then hold rallies across Sindh and Pakistan against the government,” he said. “The poverty-stricken masses will come out on the streets to protest against the government and its policies. The government is behind the present economic downturn. Those who were burning gas and electricity bills in their sit-ins are now asking people to pay more taxes. The country is being run on the dictations of the International Monetary Fund,” he said.
