Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah on Saturday criticised what he called double standards of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Talking to media in Sukkur, Shah termed NAB’s attempt to arrest Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Hamza Shahbaz illegal and said it is quite wrong trend to arrest political leaders on mendacious corruption charges. He questioned: “If NAB is an autonomous institution then why it is arresting people from opposition parties only.” Criticizing the rise in inflation in the last three months, the PPP leader said, “The prices of essential commodities have increased while dollar has also gone, as ‘tabdeeli’ has not yet come.” Shah said entire nation was disappointed with PTI led government. Its ministers do not know the sufferings of masses. Why nobody talks about inflation and the crumbling economy now, he asked. The PPP leader also termed the PTI-MQM alliance, as two opposite sides of the same base coin.
