The Executive Council of Shah Abul Latif University has condemned the vituperative and abusive language against professors by some lawyers and civil society activists who waged a protest the other day. The General Secretary Prof. Dr. Ikhtiar Ghumro and President Ayaz Gul of the council told that intrusion of outsiders in the affairs of the university to create unrest is conspiracy against peaceful academic atmosphere. They demanded authorities to enhance security measures at Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and check for entry of outsiders to avoid any untoward incident in future.
The body also demanded the authority to fulfill the requirements of Pharmacy Council of Pakistan for registration of Pharmacy Department, one of the demands of protesters, as per the agreement with the students. Meanwhile, the representatives of Officers Association and Employees Association also condemned the action of Civil Society which created chaos at the university. The representatives demanded district management and Bar Association to take action against the ‘so called irresponsible lawyers who did not know the sanctity and dignity of institution and teachers.’
Furthermore, after action against the saboteurs, the peaceful academic environment at Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur has been resumed as classes continue.
