The annual job fair was held here at The Millennium Universal Collage, according to a press release issued by the organization on Wednesday. The job fair is an annual undertaking of the Career Development Center at the TMUC which reflects institution’s pledge to provide its students with an opportunity to connect with leading corporate companies and organisations. Representatives from different industry backgrounds gave sessions on career counselling. Yasser Qayum, CEO of Dew Pakistan Ltd, and representative of Career Pakistan gave a talk on CV writing and interview skills. Representatives from the likes of Porsche, Mari Petroleum, Digicom and Agency 21 highlighted the significance of such initiatives that not only facilitate in bridging the gap between academia and industry but also provide students an opportunity to get the firsthand knowledge of practical utility of their qualification and skills to excel in their respective fields. Around 24 companies were present at the activity which has been designed to groom and nurture students in the wide array of areas that could be pivotal to their personal and professional grooming and development. The participating students highly applauded the TMUC for its unconventional initiative in organizing the job fair which gave them an unprecedented exposure and an interactive opportunity to converse with Pakistan’s leading organizations.
