The Deaf and Dumb Association on Tuesday announced to organise a massive demonstration on October 8 in Karachi against non-implementation of five percent job quota for disabled persons.
Reportedly, the association’s leaders held a protest in front of Larkana press club where notables including Fayaz Khuhro, Khalil-ur-Rahman Abbasi, Jehangir Akbar Shaikh, Niaz Kalhoro, Sarfraz Dasti, Naveed Kalhoro and others were also present. They told the media that the Sindh Government has constantly ignored them through fake promises and failed to implement five percent job quota for special persons. They said that their families had been suffering economically. They appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan to take notice of their grievances, and order implementation of job quota on the priority basis or otherwise, they would hold a massive demonstration in Karachi.
