ISLAMABAD: Ministry for Communications Secretary Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui on Tuesday presided over a meeting to analyse the progress towards development of projects initiated under the department, and directed officers to activate Project Monitoring and Evaluation Cell (PME-Cell) on the priority basis.
Reportedly, the evaluation cell will effectively monitor projects executed under the department’s authority with proper cost and time benefits. The functioning of such a cell in the ‘technical’ ministry is necessary under terms of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council’s (ECNEC) decision.
