LAHORE: The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 221 culprits including 85 Proclaimed Offenders in different areas of the province and recovered cash, valuables, drugs and illegal weapons from them.
According to details, the PHP team arrested three culprits namely Zeeshan, Rizwan, Mangal Khan and recovered stolen wood amounting to Rs 500,000 from them. PHP teams also arrested 85 POs and two court absconders namely Zahid Iqbal, Rafiq Ahmed, Hussain, Zahid Iqbal, Arshad, Ghulzar, Ilyas, Iqbal, Rashid Ali, Shaukat Ali, Tariq, Majeed, Waheed, Hassan, Javed, Khizar, Bashir Ahmad, Umer Hayyat, Amanat, Bilal, Ghulam Bashir, Samiullah, Ramzan, Idrees, Shani Masih, Hanif, Azmat, Faiz Ahmad, Ashraf, Aish Khan, Shahbaz, Yasin, Ali Raza, Khuda Bakhsh, Sardar Ali, Ahmad Yar and Jabbar.
Similarly, PHP teams arrested 60 culprits namely Majid, Shaukat, Sohail, Gulzar, Allah Ditta, Bilal, Iqbal, Amjad, Meraj, Naseer Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad, Mushtaq, Hussain Bakhsh, Khadim Hussain, Tariq, Imran, Habib, Arshad, Ali, Alam Shair, Rizwan, Iman, Mansab Ali, Naveed, Nauman, Bashir, Ghulam Mustafa, Shair Khan and Rana Ikhlaq by taking into possession 618 litre liquor, 18,263 gramme hashish, 220 gramme heroin and 1,500 gramme bhang.
PHP teams also arrested 71 culprits namely Ismail, Sharif, Qamar Abbas, Ahmad, Jamil, Shazia, Sattar, Haq Nawaz, Sajid, Kamran, Amir, Abbas, Maqbool Ahmad, Tahir, Rashid, Shahid, Umer, Umer Daraz, Zaffar Iqbal, Liaqat, Bilal, Naveed Ahmad, Faiz, Javaid, Sarwar, Adeeb, Adnan, Ali Asghar, Nauman, Usman, Ibrahim, Yousaf, Imtiaz, Aqib, Rahman, Sajjad, Mumtaz, Ameer, Shah Nawaz, Zubair, Shakir, Anwar, Iqbal, Shahbaz, Zahid Nasir, Mudasir and Asif Hussain on having illicit arms and recovered 56 pistols, a Kalashnikov, six rifles, 12 guns, 19 cartridges, 327 bullets from their possession.
PHP also reunited nine children with their parents.
