LARKANA: Larkana Deputy Commissioner Kashif Ali Tipu and SSP Kamran Nawaz confirmed that special security and traffic arrangements would be made to facilitate masses on the 9th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
They said over 5,000 police personnel including women police, traffic police, special police commandos of Sindh Police and 300 personnel of Shahbaz Rangers would also be deployed to ensure law and order on the occasion.
The SSP said that senior rank officers would supervise and monitor the security situation in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and Naudero vicinities. “An aerial surveillance of the surroundings of Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bakhsh has been carried out to monitor the activities. CCTV cameras are being installed at different locations of Bhutto House Naudero, Garhi Khuda Bakhsh and surroundings of Jalsagah and parking areas,” he added.
Bomb disposal squad, bomb detectors, scanning machines, jammers, snapper’s dogs, watchtowers, 50 walkthrough gates with police vehicles and mobile are being be set up, he said, adding that all activities are being monitored by high officials of the Sindh Police and concerned officials.
DC Larkana said various medical and other welcome camps are being established and 60 fire brigades are being deployed at various locations. He added that the medical team along with equipped mobile hospitals and ambulance services would serve the public on the occasion.
