The anti-locust operations have been completed over 2.614 million acres of land across twenty-two affected districts of the country to eradicate locusts’ swarms. According to National Locust Control Center, in addition to aerial spraying, non-conventional methods are also being used for effective control of locust during control operations. The NLCC said joint teams of Ministry of National Food Security, provincial agriculture departments and Pakistan Army are conducting a comprehensive survey against the locusts in different districts.
