GUJRANWALA: On late Thursday night, a man was arrested who allegedly killed his sister-in-law over what police said was a trivial domestic dispute.
The incident took place in the Ballewala neighbourhood which is within the Cantt police station’s jurisdiction. An FIR has been filed against Sohail, the alleged criminal.
The reason for stabbing and subsequent murder is said to be the deceased role in causing Sohail’s divorce a few months ago. Heated debates since went out of hands-on Thursday, causing the incident.
Sohail’s mother, in an attempt to cool matters off, was severely wounded as well, the police officer noted.
Further investigation was ongoing, superintendent Gondal added.
