Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information, Law and Anti-corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Friday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had finally bowed down before the International Monetary Fund (IMFP), and added that the government had achieved another milestone of U-turn.
In a statement, Murtaza Wahab congratulated the PTI for accepting the terms of IMF with joy, and added that the real face of the party had been exposed. He said the PTI had beaten previous record of its U-turns. “If the PTI had to accept the terms of the IMF, why this drama of delusion was staged for nine months? How long will the PTI continue to deceive the nation?” he asked, and added that nation had become well aware of the reality of the PTI.
He said that the PTI in its election campaign had made tall claims of breaking the bowl of begging and announced not to seek assistance of the IMF for any bailout package just to earn the goodwill of people of Pakistan. Referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the provincial adviser said that he had vowed at public meetings to free the nation from IMF slavery, but a majority of the masses were hundred percent sure that the PTI government would seek assistance from the IMF.
“Imran Khan, you can’t run the affairs of country, as you are not capable,” the adviser remarked. He said that prices of daily use commodities had rocketed, while petroleum products had gone beyond the purchasing powers of Pakistanis. He said that the PTI had forgotten all its promises made with the nation. He said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was standing by the people of Pakistan and would continue to raise its voice against anti-people policies of the PTI.
