The Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and Science, Research & Technology Ministry had opened the call for joint research proposals from academia across Pakistan.
An Evaluation Committee, after a peer review process, selected 10 projects for funding under PSF and the ministry’s Second Call of Proposals. Comsats University secured four Projects out of 10 among other top research universities of Pakistan.
The proposals were invited in priority areas for Joint Research Projects that included Material Sciences & Metallurgy, Climate Smart Agriculture & Biotechnology, Economic Utilisation of Marine Resources, Textile Engineering & Value Addition, Earthquake Forecasting Services, Solar Energy & Ways Of Its Implementation, Wind Energy & Ways Of Its Implementation, Water Scarcity In Close Future & Its Relation To Food Scarcity, Air Pollution, Saving Endangered Species of Plants, Animals & Insects.
All proposals had to follow a general theme of Translational Research – Innovation from Laboratory to Society.
