Prime Minister Imran Khan is set for a day-long visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday, the Foreign Office said on Thursday.
He is visiting the Gulf state on the invitation of his counterpart Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum to attend the 7th World Government Summit.
Heads of states, policymakers, business leaders and experts will attend the event to discuss current and future opportunities to improve governance through reform, innovation and technology.
“The Prime Minister’s participation will underscore Pakistan’s strong interest in the knowledge economy, artificial intelligence, green development and the importance of innovation for growth,” the communiqué read. In his keynote address at the summit, the PM will highlight his vision for Pakistan and encourage investment in different sectors of the country’s economy.
Accompanied by ministers of foreign affairs, finance, maritime affairs and adviser to the Prime Minister on commerce, he will also meet the leadership of UAE.
