Human rights activist and lawyer Jibran Nasir has submitted nomination papers to contest the upcoming by-poll from the provincial assembly constituency PS-111 Karachi.
Jibran had earlier contested the July 25 general elections as an independent candidate from the same constituency and stood at 5th behind PTI, MMA, PPP and PML-N. He had also contested from NA-247 but manage to get only 6,462 votes.
He took on twitter to announce that he has filed nomination papers to take part in the by-elections scheduled to be held on September 14.
Jibran wrote that he will carry on “struggle for a progressive, tolerant and equitable Pakistan”.
