KARACHI: Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar’s 100-day cleanliness campaign ended on Friday as garbage piled on the streets and nooks of Karachi.
A resident of Lines Area said that he wanted to ask the Mayor and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah if the campaign was limited to a select few areas.
Another local who spoke on charges of anonymity stated that garbage is being dumped here for a very long time and to get rid of the heaps of junk they need to be set on fire everyday.
Karachi’s famous food street Burns Road is also a mess with all the garbage piles around it.
