Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing &Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Monday while appreciating the quick response of the security personnel in thwarting the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange said that our security agencies were as alert as always to protect the country.
He said that the manner in which Pakistan Rangers Sindh and Sindh Police personnel as well as private guards of Pakistan Stock Exchange acted timely was highly commendable. The enemy has always failed because of the bravery and courage of our security personnel, he added.
Nasir Shah lamented the martyrdom of security personnel who were martyred in the terrorists’ attack and said that the entire nation was proud of these brave sons who did not hesitate to lay down their lives for the protection of the country. He also expressed condolences with the families of the martyred security personnel. He said that the security personnel injured in the terrorists’ attack were being provided all the best medical facilities and hoped that they would recover soon.
The provincial minister further stated that the attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange was in fact an attack on Pakistan’s security and economy. He said that anti-national elements were always trying to create instability in Pakistan, but due to the bravery and alertness of our security personnel, their efforts would not be successful. “Our security personnel are on high alert at all times so that the enemy does not succeed in his nefarious aims,” he maintained.
Nasir Shah said that many nefarious aims of the enemy were foiled by the personnel of our security agencies even in the planning stage. “Today’s incident once again proves that our security personnel are always ready to protect the country,” he said adding that anti-state elements should remember that whenever they turn to our country with their nefarious aims, they will face the failure.
He further said that politically we might have differences, but whenever it came to national security we stand by the side of the federal government and will not sit idly by until the anti-national elements are brought to justice.
The provincial Information Minister said that the chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had also given a clear instruction to talk beyond all political differences for the security of the country. “We are happy that our security personnel are ready to face any challenge,” he said.
