The Balochistan Assembly has passed a resolution against the major increase in prices of petroleum products by the federal government. According to details, the Balochistan Assembly passed a resolution asking the federal government to withdraw the price increase, after which the session of the provincial assembly was adjourned till Monday. Yesterday, the federal government issued a notification increasing the prices of petroleum products including petrol and diesel by up to 66 percent, with petrol rising by Rs 25.58. According to the notification issued by the Finance Division, after the price increase of Rs 25.58 per litre, the new price of petrol is set at Rs 100.10 per litre. Similarly, the price of high speed diesel was increased by Rs 21.31 per litre and its new price has been fixed at Rs 101.46 per litre.
