It was announced by the Interior Ministry on Saturday more than 10 organisations have been added to the list of banned outfits.
The list is as followed: Al Anfal Trust (Lahore), Idara-i-Khidmat Khalaq (Lahore), Al Dawatul Irshad (Lahore), Al Hamd Trust (Lahore and Faisalabad), Mosque and Welfare Trust (Lahore), Al Madinah Foundation (Lahore), Muaz bin Jabal Education Trust (Lahore), Al Eesar Foundation (Lahore), Al Rehmat Trust Organisation (Bahawalpur) and Al Furqan Trust (Karachi).
The former organisations were stated as forbidden for their suspected association with Jamatud Dawa (JuD), Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FiF) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), which are banned.
Law enforcers have intensified their operation against JuD, FiF and JeM since March, capturing 100 activists. They have also been able to shut down 200 more seminaries associated with the same outfits. Out of which many have been handed over to the Auqaf department.
Under the National Action Plan (NAP) the operation and fight against these banned outfits will continue until desired outcome is not achieved.
The Ministry of Interior issued a formal notification to ban JuD, FIF, 44 activists of JeM and other banned outfits, including JeM Chief, Masood Azhar’s son and brother, who had been taken into custody.
Shehryar Afridi the Minister of Interior tweeted that efforts were being made to speed up the progress on the National Action Plan (NAP).
