The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Managing Body has decided to strengthen and modernize the PRCS systems and program capacities for effective and efficient humanitarian services during peace and disasters, according to a press release issued by the organization.
During the meeting held at the PRCS National Headquarters, acting Secretary General Khalid Bin Majeed presented the recommendations of Joint Technical Working Group for elevating, strengthening and bringing improvements in different program procedures including health, first aid, youth and volunteers, regional blood donor center, restoring family links, climate change adaptation, logistics and information and technology which was approved by the Managing Body.
Managing Body extends upper age limit to 65 years for position of secretary general
The body approved extension in upper age limit from 60 years to 65 years for the position of secretary general. The PRCS Audit Report 2017 was also presented during the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by PRCS Chairman Dr Saeed Elahi and was attended by Vice Chairman Naguib Ullah Malik, Member Managing Body and Treasurer Mumtaz Haider Rizvi, Managing Body members Mian Abdul Rauf, Dr Jamal Nasir, Mujeeb ur Rahman Shami, Justice (r) Sheikh Ahmed Farooq, Syed Azfar Ali Nasir, Brigadier (r) Abdul Hadi, PRCS Sindh Chairperson Shahnaz Hamid, PRCS Punjab Chairman Lt Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool, PRCS KP Chairman Lt Gen (r) Hamid Khan, PRCS AJK Chairman Dr Sardar Mehmood Khan, PRCS FATA Chairman Fareed Khan Wazir, acting Secretary General Khalid Bin Majeed, representatives from PRCS ICT Branch and the Ministry of Finance.
