Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman has ordered the release of about 2,100 Pakistani prisoners from the kingdom’s jails during a high-profile visit to Islamabad, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Monday. The crown prince has ordered the immediate release of 2,107 Pakistani prisoners after a request by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Fawad said in a post on Twitter. “As a sequel to Prime Minister of Pakistan request, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman has ordered the immediate release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners from Saudi jails.” Meanwhile, the crown prince has also accepted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s request to provide immigration to pilgrims at the Pakistani airports. Approving the request, the crown prince has announced that Pakistan hajj pilgrims will have their immigration for Saudi Arabia done in the country and no immigration will be required for them upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. “Insha Allah 29000 hajis will have their immigration for Saudi done at Karachi airport this year. On arrival at Saudi Arabia, no immigration,” Special Assistant to Prime Minister Naeemul Haque made the announcement in a tweet.
