Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said on Wednesday that last ten years of Balochistan were a classic example of misgovernance by the provincial governments.
In a tweet, the minister said that pension liability of the province has gone up from Rs 290 million to 28.5 billion in 10 years, claiming that the provincial government had recruited 206,000 peons only.
Fawad said that the Punjab and Sindh were even worse where Shehbaz Sharif and Murad Shah have played havoc with funds of their respective provinces.
Separately, Fawad said Gilgit-Baltistan would be empowered constitutionally and administratively.
This he said during a meeting with Leader of Opposition in Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Mohammad Shafi.
Fawad said that it was the priority of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government to strengthen the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, economically and politically.
He said that constitutional and administrative rights were being provided to Gilgit-Baltistan under legal framework.
Leader of the Opposition in GB Assembly Muhamamd Shafi said that the PML-N government had distributed funds for various projects in Gilgit-Baltistan in a non-transparent manner.
The opposition leader expressed the hope that the PTI government would take practical steps for grant of genuine rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
