The District and Sessions Judge (DSJ), Chaudry Tariq Javid, on Friday, visited the Bahawalpur Central Jail and inspected women barracks, jail hospital, kitchen and literacy centre.
Senior Civil Judge Intikhab Alam, Civil Judge Sumaira Naz Malik, Central Jail Superintendent Shahram Tauqeer Khan also accompanied the DSJ on his visit to the jail.
The DSJ heard problems of the inmates and issued directives to the jail administration to resolve the problems of the inmates. He also ordered to release eleven prisoners who were convicted of minor crimes.
The police officials presented the guard of honour to the DSJ on the occasion.
