KARACHI: Pakistan’s seemingly intractable education woes once again came to the fore when it was revealed today that zoology’s question paper for second year examinations was leaked on social media half an hour before the exam.
Despite the leak, the examination still went ahead, with centers choosing to use the same question paper.
Upon questioning, Chairman of the Board of Intermediate Professor Inam Ahmed expressed his own astonishment on how the leak occurred.
He claimed that mobile phones were not allowed in examination centers, and question papers were sent to centers at 9 a.m., while the exam began at 9.15 a.m.
The Chairman said that he had himself inspected several centers and was confident that the security measures installed to prevent such incidents were up to the mark.
He also said that an investigation would take place to understand how the paper was leaked.
