LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was being drowned in the Tsunami of terrorism, adding that this monster could only be defeated with the will and valour possessed by the PPP leadership.
During the week-long celebrations of the Party’s 49th Foundation Day, the PPP chairman addressed a huge gathering of PPP workers from KP at Bilawal House, Lahore. Thousands of workers played folk music and did the Pakhtun dance on PPP songs.
Bilawal said that PPP was very strong in KP and was going to record a remarkable victory in the province in next general elections. It can even elect its chief minister and prime minister from Balochistan, the chairman claimed.
He claimed that the country was passing through a critical phase and there is a dire need for an intelligent Interior Minister. He also warned Nawaz that ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogan would go viral if Chaudhry Nisar was not removed and four demands were not met.
PPP chairman said that workers of “Pakistan’s most popular party” started chanting slogans and ‘Takht-e-Raiwind’ should understand the pulse of public opinion or else the same sound will reverberate all over the country.
On the occasion, the chairman announced to contest the elections from his ancestral seat.
Meanwhile, senior PPP leader senator Sherry Rehman said that our Party always gave sacrifices for democracy and we shall continue our struggle without any interval.
She said that PPP restored the identity of KP after more than a century and it was President Asif Ali Zardari who initiated the move to give our Pakhtun brothers and sisters their identities back.
